Barry Eggers

Bio

Barry is a founder of Lightspeed and focuses primarily on investments in the areas of enterprise infrastructure, communications and networking, digital media, and internet. He has fifteen years of venture capital experience and ten years of operating experience. Prior to joining Lightspeed, Barry held executive roles in business development and general management at Cisco Systems from 1991-1997. While at Cisco, Barry established several of the company's largest distribution channels with OEMs, Service Providers and VARs. He also developed Cisco's initial M&A process and directed the first wave of acquisitions and integrations for the company. Barry has been named multiple times to the Forbes Midas List of top venture capital investors and appeared on the initial AlwaysOn VC100 list published in 2009. Barry holds a BA in Economics and Business from UCLA and an MBA from Stanford University.
