Mr Dennis is a General Partner and the CFO of Open Prairie Ventures. He also is on the Board of Directors or an observer of the Board activities for some of our portfolio companies including iCyt, CPAC, TomoTherapy, and ISSI Mr Dennis is an adjunct lecturer for the College of Business at the University of Illinois – Finance for Emerging Business. His operational experience includes leading a private investment into a successful independent bio science lab (EPL BioAnalytical Systems) specializing in hybrid/GMP seed testing. Controller for SLM Instruments, Inc., a manufacturer of research instrumentation. He was the Chief Financial Officer for Segno Communications, Inc., a provider of wireless communications products and services. He was an Audit Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he performed auditing, financial reporting, public stock and debt offerings, acquisitions, government compliance and SEC reporting for a range of clients including several Fortune 100 companies. In addition, he provided audit services for companies including but not limited to Caterpillar, Capitol Machinery, Carter Machinery, and Pfister Hybrid. Dennis was also CEO/CFO of Home Recovery Companies, a provider of home healthcare services in the Mid-Atlantic His industry and business service includes, served as Board of Directors President for a Virginia-based statewide home health providers industry association. Presentations on small business finance and venture capital for China Executive Leadership Program at the University of Illinois Mr Dennis holds an Masters of Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Millikin University, Decatur including an Internship with A.E. Staley Manufacturing researching business opportunities in genetic engineering for ag/food application
