David Gough

Bio

Has been ETCapital's life sciences adviser since 2002. Was previously chief executive of Avlar BioVentures a UK-based early stage venture capital company. At Avlar was responsible for new investments in eight companies and played a significant role in raising Avlar's second fund, which had a first close in July 2001 of £38 million. Prior to that was founder and Managing Director of Vectura Ltd, a drug delivery start-up company. Before founding Ventura, ran the Healthcare and Biotechnology practice at PA Consulting Group, having spent spent some ten years as a senior manager with Johnson and Johnson. BSc in Physiology and Biochemistry from Reading University and MBA from Warwick Business School.
