Hadi M. T. Badri is the Executive Director of the Chairman’s Office at Dubai International Capital, where he represents DIC at the senior-most levels of government and agencies. Hadi also has the added responsibility of managing one of DIC’s important investments in its Emerging Markets portfolio - the Rivoli Group. Hadi joined DIC at its inception in October 2004 where he took on the role of Associate before being promoted to Associate Director in 2007. In this role, Hadi was responsible for sourcing, screening, undertaking due diligence, negotiating and executing regional and international private equity transactions.Hadi was previously an Associate in the strategy and development department of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where he formed part of a development team “think tank” for Dubai, which was responsible for conceptualising and executing a series of strategic initiatives to develop Dubai into a leading global city and hub. In 2006, Hadi was seconded to The Carlyle Group based in Washington DC. During his time at Carlyle, Hadi served as an Associate in the Growth Buyout (GBO) team of Carlyle Venture Partners III, a $700mm venture and growth buyout fund. Hadi serves as a director on the boards of the Rivoli Group and Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding. He also serves as an observer on the boards and investment committees of a number of DIC’s portfolio companies. Hadi holds a BA, Magna Cum Laude Honours in Economics from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Whilst at Tufts, Hadi was nominated for the prestigious Marion Ricker Houston prize scholarship in Economics.
