Scott Bauer

Bio

In 1995, Mr. Bauer founded Southern Community Bank and Trust, and is currently the bank's Chairman and CEO. He began his career in 1978 with Wachovia Bank and Trust. In 1984, he moved to Northwestern Bank where he rose to V.P. of Commercial Banking. Then, Mr. Bauer joined First Union Bank where he managed multimillion-dollar commercial lending transactions. In 1990, he moved to Southern National Bank as City Executive and Manager of Commercial Banking. Mr. Bauer earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master's Degree in Banking from Delaware's Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
