Bio

Aaron Tainter joined Meakem Becker as an investment analyst in 2005. Aaron was promoted to Associate in 2008. He is responsible for managing the daily flow of investment opportunities through all phases of our investment pipeline. In addition, Aaron performs due diligence assignments on selected prospective investments. He is also responsible for scouting potential investments through attendance at various venture fairs, combing through the business press in many target cities, and building networks of contacts in the legal and venture communities. After graduating from college, Aaron worked briefly as an Intern Analyst with Meakem Venture Partners. In this role, he was responsible for tracking the performance of selected investments and creating an industry structure analysis for a portfolio company. The internship worked in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Fellows Program, which is a nine-month, post-graduate, leadership development program designed to introduce young professionals to the corporate and entrepreneurial arenas of Pittsburgh. Aaron was the first selected member of the inaugural class and now serves as Alumni Chair for the Pittsburgh Fellows Board of Directors. Aaron earned a double major B.S. Business Management / B.A. Marketing from Eastern University near Philadelphia in May 2005. He was elected as Director of Project Management for Eastern University’s chapter of SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) and was also a member of Eastern’s Leadership Grant Program. Aaron played Division III varsity baseball for Eastern University and was awarded the National Student Athlete Award in 2002. Aaron was granted Eastern University’s Presidential Scholarship (the highest awarded scholarship) throughout all four years of college.
