Bio
Adrian Cheng is the fourth-generation leader of one of the world’s most prominent families (# 58 on Forbes 2016) and has been on the 40 under 40 list by Fortune. In 2017, he was awarded Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Being the visionary cultural entrepreneur behind New World Group and Chow Tai Fook, he injects zest into the family business empire, using innovation, art and culture to create new businesses. He also founded the K11 Art Foundation, actively promoting the development of the holistic art ecosystem in China.
Adrian is the fashionista driving the expansion of the Luxba Group, the fashion management arm which manages four brands, including Moschino, Love Moschino, Red Valentino and also Dsquared2. Adrian has also been named the very first CFDA Global Ambassador. In his new role, he will work towards developing international programs and cross-cultural exchanges leading to innovative business approaches.
Adrian is ranked among the ArtReview and reached # 54 since 2014, and considered as one of the contemporary art world most powerful figures and collectors. He is also Board Member of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and member of the Interim Acquisition and M + Museum Committees , Board Director of the National Museum of China Foundation, Director of CAFAM Funds of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Trustee of Royal Academy of Arts, Visiting Committee of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Member of TATE International Council and Member of International Circle of Centre Pompidou.
