Alex von der Goltz

Bio

Alex brings seven years of private equity investing experience and seven years of experience in the information technology and media industries to Boston Capital Ventures. At BCV Alex focuses on infrastructure, security, marketing and enterprise software opportunities. Alex currently serves as a director on the boards of Reflexion Networks and RealManage. He also serves as an observer to the boards of iBreva and Wandrian. Before joining BCV, Alex worked at the International Music Division of Bertelsmann Entertainment in New York, reporting directly to the CEO and was responsible for financial analysis and the identification of online and direct marketing opportunities. Before joining BMG International, Alex worked as a management consultant in Germany at Roland Berger and Partner focusing on turnarounds in the metals and mining industry. Prior to that, Alex spent several years in professional services and technical sales at Oracle Corporation and Techgnosis, a middleware networking startup. Alex is a Computer Science graduate of Brown University and has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Alex is fluent in German and Spanish having lived several years in Latin America and Europe.
