Bio

Anton Arts, Venture Partner, joined New Venture Partners in 2006. He is based in the Netherlands and focuses on investment opportunities arising from relationships with Philips and other European corporate partners. Previously, he was a Partner at Gilde IT Fund, a leading international venture capital fund based in the Netherlands. While there, he was responsible for twelve investments in technology companies across Europe, Israel and the United States. Exits include Cambridge Silicon Radio (Europe's most successful technology IPO in 2004), No Wires Needed (acquired by Intersil) and SLP Infoware (acquired by Gemplus). Prior to that, he was involved in the full cycle of business building through to exit as the assistant to the CEO of Uniface, a Dutch software company that grew to 600 people before being acquired by Compuware Corporation. Anton is a senior investment professional with extensive experience as a board member of a broad range of international technology companies in the start-up and development phase across Europe. His areas of expertise include communication equipment, semiconductors, wireless, optical components, infrastructure software, and other enabling technologies. In addition, he served as an advisor to the municipal broadband initiative of the city of Amsterdam, Israel seed fund Cedar Funds, and a Dutch wireless start-up. Anton holds a BA from Nyenrode University (Netherlands).
