Is a rare combination of an extraordinary academic and experienced professional with several years of work experience in leading banks and capital market services companies. As the holder of doctorate in finance, he is an astute finance expert, who, in his career span of over 25 long years teaching at the National Institute of Financial Management (NFIM) and Ministry of Finance, New Delhi, has groomed the professionals of “Future India” to make them capital markets and venture financing professionals. His teaching skills were also developed as a professor at the Training and Research Institute of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Mumbai. Prior to his position as a professor, he also taught at the IIM, Lucknow and at the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He also was a research associate at the IIM – Ahmedabad. As a professional, he was with IDBI Bank Ltd for a period of 7 years, and in those years, he oversaw critical financial and investment functions as a GM of the bank. His responsibilities at that time included project appraisal, project finance, international banking & finance, capital markets, derivatives and risk management, treasury management, and valuation of companies. Prior to that at Mafatlal Securities Ltd, Mumbai, a member of the BSE, NSE, and OTCEI, he was the CEO and Whole-time Director responsible for the operations of the company. His career initiation and exposure to capital markets & securities transactions date back to his position that he held at the NSE. he also worked as Manager (Operations) at the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSEIL), Mumbai.
