Baron Carlson

Bio

Mr Carlson joined AEA Investors in 2004 as a member of the Small Business Fund team. Mr Carlson played a significant role in developing several of AEA's recent investments including PLZ Holdings (Plaze and Claire-Sprayway), Troxell Communications, Implus Footcare, Colony Hardware and Sextant Education Corporation ( Southwest Florida College and Platt College). He currently serves on the board of directors of each of these companies. Mr Carlson was also involved with AEA’s successful investment in In the Swim. Prior to joining AEA, Mr Carlson was an associate at Arena Capital Partners where he focused on investments in business and consumer services companies. Prior to Arena Capital, Mr Carlson was with GE Capital’s private equity investment division and was a member of the mergers and acquisitions department at Prudential Securities. Mr Carlson received a BA in government from Dartmouth College.
