Brett Bishov

Bio

Mr. Bishov is head of the firm’s client origination and restaurant practice groups and advises clients on a broad range of transactions. Prior to co-founding Capital Insight, Mr. Bishov was a partner of Trefethen & Co. (“T&C”), (a privately-owned, independent merchant banking firm focused on providing advisory services and transaction execution to middle market companies, investors and financial institutions on a national basis). Mr. Bishov was head of the firm’s client origination group, and responsible for executing a broad range of transactions including confidential M&A and corporate finance transactions. Prior to joining T&C, Mr. Bishov was head of the origination group at American Commercial Capital (“ACC”), a commercial finance and investment banking company focused on providing capital and advisory services to companies in the multi-unit retail industry. ACC was acquired by Wells Fargo & Company in 2001, and continues to operate as a Wells Fargo business unit (Wells Fargo Commercial Capital), providing capital to middle market companies across the United States. Prior to joining ACC, Mr. Bishov was a Vice President and Officer of First Bank and Trust Company of Illinois where he was responsible for commercial loan origination, underwriting and execution. Mr. Bishov also serves on the Board of Directors of various operating companies and has otherwise volunteered his services to various charitable organizations. Mr. Bishov received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, passed the CPA exam and practiced at Grant Thornton with a focus on bank audit services and loan restructuring for the Resolution Trust Corporation.
