Bio
Bruce Pixler is a vice president of HarbourVest and the Firm's Director of Tax. He joined HarbourVest in 2005 as a tax manager, beame the assistant director of taxation in 2007, and was promoted to his current position in 2009. His primary responsibilities include coordinating all U.S. federal and state tax compliance for the HarbourVest entities and tax-related communications for current and prospective investors. Bruce joined the Firm in 2005 after six years working for Mellon Financial Corporation, where he was team leader, manager of partnership accounting and taxation, and a senior client relationship officer in the Private Wealth division. He managed the overall investment partnership accounting and tax compliance services nationwide for Mellon's Family Office Group, and was responsible for new business development. Prior to this, he worked at Parkwood Corporation and Kopperman & Wolf Co., CPAs. A certified public accountant, Bruce received his B.S. in Accounting from Bowling Green State University in 1981.
