Bio
Mr Bruce F Wesson is a Founder, Senior Advisor of Galen Partners, a leading healthcare private equity firm founded in 1990. Mr. Wesson joined Galen in 1991 after more than 23 years with Smith Barney, where he served as a Senior Vice President and Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Division. In addition to directing Smith Barney’s Major Account Group and becoming Senior Managing Director overseeing the East Coast region, Mr. Wesson was Chairman of the Valuation and Opinion Committee for Corporate Finance, making him ultimately responsible for all of the valuation and opinions given by the firm. Mr Wesson currently serves on the boards of MedAssets, Inc. (Vice Chairman), Acura Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Derma Sciences, Inc, Essential Group, Inc, Chemtura Corporation and Overlook Hospital Foundation. He is also a Trustee of Colgate University, and was President of Colgate´s Alumni Corporation Board of Directors from 1997-1999. Mr Wesson holds an MBA from Columbia Graduate Business School and a BA from Colgate University.
