Prior to joining Milestone, Mr. Buckner was a Managing Director for Compass Point Research & Trading, LLC a Washington DC based financial services firm and prior to that was a Managing Director at Commerce Street Capital, a Dallas, TX based investment bank. Mr. Buckner also held positions with Friedman, Billings & Ramsey, Co. and Capital Resources, Inc., all focusing on financial institutions investment banking. Richard A. Buckner is a Managing Director of Milestone Advisors LLC. His primary focus and area of concentration is in the community bank and thrift sectors. In his role, Mr. Buckner is responsible for identifying and executing investment banking transactions. In his career, Mr. Buckner has completed more than 80 capital transactions while successfully raising in excess of $2 billion in capital for community banks and thrifts nationwide. Mr. Buckner received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
