C Shekhar Kundur

Bio

Shekhar is a General Partner with Ventureast APIDC, Hyderabad, India, a pioneering venture capital fund manager that makes investments in early-stage, technology-driven companies. It currently manages the “Biotechnology Venture Fund”, India’s first and the only biotechnology-focused venture fund. Mr. Kundur has extensive cross-continent education, business and entrepreneurial experience. He has been actively involved in the venture capital arena as a member of the Board of Directors of the APIDC Venture Capital from 1995 till 2004. Prior to that, as an Assistant Brand Manager for the Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was part of the brand management team responsible for one of P&G’s largest-ever detergent product introductions. Previously, as a marketing executive with Asian Paints (India) Limited, he initiated a national campaign introducing a new brand of automotive paint in India. His academic background includes degrees in engineering (REC, Warangal) and business administration (MBA, IIM- Bangalore and MBA, Kellogg-Northwestern University).
