Bio

Joined HarbourVest in 2005 as an associate on the direct investment team where he has worked on investments including Acresso Software, Paris Re, Photoways, Sepaton, and Xpressdocs. Promoted to senior associate in 2008. Most recently, transferred to HarbourVest's London-based subsidiary where he focuses on originating, evaluating, and executing direct investments in growth equity and buyout transactions, primarily in Europe. Joined the Firm from Morgan Stanley in New York where he was an analyst focusing on consumer finance. Mr MacDonald's prior experience also includes investment banking analyst positions with Citigroup Global Markets in New York and London. BA in Political Science and Information Systems (with honors and distinction) from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2001.
