Dale Vogel

Bio

Dale joined Montlake Capital in 2005 to share his operational and investment experience with the Montlake team and the fund’s portfolio companies. He currently serves on the boards of Montlake portfolio companies Blue Dog Bakery, Contour and SOG Knives and Tools. Dale has been in the venture capital business since 1984. He was with U.S. Venture Partners for fifteen years as a Seattle-based partner, and prior to that, a partner with Norwest Venture Partners in Seattle and Portland for six years. He was the President of K2 Corporation from 1979 to 1984. In addition, he has served as President of JanSport and Executive Vice President of Aldila, Inc. n the past, Dale has served as a director of numerous private and public corporations, including Avia Group International, the Gymboree Corporation, GetThere.com, and Concur Technologies. Dale’s other successful investments include Restoration Hardware, Garden Botanika, Avenue A, and Callaway Golf, among others. He is a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Forest Ridge School and previously an Executive in Residence in the Program for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Washington School of Business. Dale received a B.S. degree from San Jose State University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
