Bio

Founded Englefield in 2002 and brought the team together over the next seven years. Set the team's investment style and culture, recruiting and developing its members, and has oversight of all investment activities and portfolio companies. Previously worked for 12 years with Warburg Pincus, and was appointed a partner in 1993 and elected as the first non-American member of its Global Operating Committee in 1999. From the mid-1990s, acted as co-head of the London office. Was a non-executive director of more than 20 portfolio companies owned by Warburg Pincus and was involved in the investment of more than $2 billion in the UK, Western and Central Europe. From 1984 to 1986 worked in the investment banking group at Morgan Stanley. Graduated from the University of Oxford with a master's degree in Latin and Greek literature and philosophy, and MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
