Bio

Dwight O’Donnell joined GEF in 2011 as Senior Investment Partner, bringing over 35 years of forestry investment experience to GEF’s Sustainable Forestry team. Prior to joining GEF, Mr. O’Donnell developed and participated in over 50 projects at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) resulting in investments of over $1 billion, over a five-year period. Before joining the IFC, he was the President and CEO of California-based SierraPine Ltd., a privately held company employing 1,300 people, manufacturing particleboard, medium density fiberboard, and other products. Prior to joining SierraPine, Dwight was Director of Solid Wood Development for Rayonier New Zealand, where he was involved with the construction of a greenfield MDF plant on the South Island of New Zealand. Mr. O’Donnell holds a Bachelor of Science in Wood Science and Technology from the University of California at Berkley.
