Bio

Commenced working with Englefield in 2003, having previously brought together a management team to develop an investment thesis and to target acquisitions in the renewable energy sector. Subsequently joined the team as a Partner in late 2004, focusing on energy and environmental businesses, and on related activities in business services. At Englefield, has had a wide range of private equity experience from investment execution to portfolio company monitoring. Has worked in the energy industry since 1970 and has held senior positions in several companies, including as Managing Director at Eastern Group plc from 1996 until 2000. Has been Chairman of the Energy Saving Trust since 2005, and is a director of the Carbon Trust and Chairman of a specialist think tank, the Utility Strategy Group. Chartered engineer with a degree in electrical engineering from Imperial College and has a postgraduate qualification in accounting and finance.
