Edward V. Samek is a Managing Director focused on investments in the real estate sector. He is based in Los Angeles, CA. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Samek was based in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Carlyle in 2000, Mr. Samek worked at the J.E. Robert Co. where he executed investments for JER Partners’ real estate opportunity funds. Mr. Samek is a member of the Board of Directors of Scopel Desenvolvimento Urbano S.A., headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mr. Samek graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
