Bio
Gautam began learning businesses from their “balance sheets” very early, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. After practicing auditing for 2 years, he pursued investment banking at JPMorgan to extend his financial knowledge beyond accounting. At JPMorgan, Gautam developed a strong understanding of the IPO process and capital markets. Gautam graduated with his MBA from the Indian School of Business and joined McKinsey as part of its growing Corporate Finance Practice. It was there that he honed his skills to help companies with their business strategy, launching greenfield business lines and advising companies on fund raising. Having advised on private equity situations in McKinsey, Gautam joined Matrix Partners to test “on road” his skills in strategic thinking, corporate finance & value creation. Gautam enjoys engaging with entrepreneurs on their most acute business issues and is looking to partner with companies hungry for growth and wealth creation.
