Bio

Has been a board member of Compass since inception in 1998. Was Senior Vice President and Director of Global Corporate Social Responsibility and Philanthropy of XL Capital Ltd from 1992 to 2008. Served as Senior Vice President for Investor Relations of XL from 1992 to May 2004 and was responsible for the Company’s liaison and communication with the investment community and for corporate communications and media relations. The XL group of companies is comprised of four main business segments – Insurance, Reinsurance, Life Operations and Institutional Investment Operations. Prior to joining XL Capital Ltd in 1992, Vice President - Financial Relations of CIGNA Corporation in Philadelphia, PA. Joined CIGNA in 1984 from American International Group Inc (AIG), where since 1972 he had held several positions both in Bermuda and in New York, in insurance and reinsurance underwriting, captive insurance management, marketing and investor relations. BA from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. MBA from The College of Insurance, now St John’s University in New York.
