Bio

Mr Ronchi has promoted and developed venture capital activities in Europe since the early 1990s. In 1999, he created the ETF Group to consolidate a number of separate technology funds and investment initiatives that he had founded. Prior to becoming a technology venture investor, Mr. Ronchi had worked for many years in operational management positions in information technology. In 1986, he led the largest management buy-out in computer industry history, in which the activities of Memorex were acquired for $623 million from the Burroughs Corporation. He also led the subsequent acquisition of Telex Corporation and served as President and CEO of Memorex Telex NV. Mr Ronchi provided seed funding and led subsequent rounds to fund the development of The Fantastic Corporation, where he serves on the Board of Directors. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Teknecomp (now Intek) SpA, a public company quoted on the Milan stock exchange, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Telex Communications, a producer of audio and wireless communications and multimedia products for the computer, broadcast and professional audio markets.
