A 1980 graduate of Vanderbilt University, Greg is a co-founder and former president of SerVend International, Inc, a global manufacturing company with 300 employees. In 1997, Greg led the sale of SerVend to The Manitowoc Company, a New York Stock Exchange firm. As a result of its business system success, SerVend has received the following national recognition: Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award finalist, 1998 Oregon Quality Award winner, 1998 and 1999 (through Flomatic International, SerVend's valve manufacturing division) Rochester Institute of Technology/USA Today Quality Cup winner, 1999 Greg was selected as one of Inc. magazine's 1990 Entrepreneurs of the Year and holds a U.S. patent that revolutionized the ice/beverage dispensing industry. Greg is nationally recognized for his knowledge and implementation of best practice business systems and results, quality management and the use of teams in the workplace. He is a co-founder of the Kentuckiana Continuous Improvement Network and the Louisville Chapter for the Center for Quality of Management. Greg was designated the Executive in Residence for Indiana University Southeast for the 1999/2000 school year. Greg is recognized as both a teaching fellow and counselor by CQM. Greg retired from SerVend in 1999 and has since founded Iceberg Ventures, a venture capital firm. Iceberg Ventures provides capital and business system development for the emerging and fast growth companies that it invests in. In February 2000, Greg co-founded bCatalyst, a new business accelerator that offers an entrepreneurial environment for promising telecom, e-commerce and Internet related startups and expert mentoring from seasoned entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
