Gregry A. Kares is a Managing Director in the Carlyle Investment Grade Opportunity group focused primarily on managing fixed income portfolios for bank and insurance company clients. He in based in Charlotte, NC. Prior to joining Carlyle, he spent 14 years at Wachovia Bank. At Wachovia, he was a Senior Vice President responsible for managing the bank’s mortgage backed securities portfolio, hedging mortgage servicing rights and managing the bank’s proprietary trading desk. Mr. Kares received his M.B.A. from the University of South Florida. He received a B.S. in math and economics from Wake Forest University and is a CFA charterholder.
