Has significant experience as the principal investor in Real Estate, Mezzanine Debt, CDOs, Distressed Debt, Marketable Securities, Special Situations and Hedge Funds. Chairman and co-founder of Macluan Capital Corporation, a Canadian private equity investment firm. Serves on the Founders Circle of Thomas Weisel Partners and the Board of West Fraser Timber and the Board of Childrens Hospital Foundation. Chairman of Bond Capital Partners. Responsible for partnering the CEO on strategy, building the management Board, recruiting Advisers, leading the fund raising process and sourcing deals through his networks. Co-chairman of Lions Gate Entertainment. On the Advisory Board of Tennenbaum & Company and is also a Founding Partner and Advisor to General Capital Group Germany. BA in Commerce from Simon Fraser University. LLB in Law from the Osgoode Hall Law School.
