Responsible for administering the Bank’s legal affairs, corporate governance and developing the legal aspects of the Islamic financial instruments utilised by the Bank. Prior to joining Arcapita in 1997, was with US law firms, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Hogan & Hartson LLP for eight years, specialising in cross-border investments as well as financing on both conventional and Islamic lines. BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington DC. JD (Cum Laude) from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC. Member of the District of Columbia Bar.
