Bio

Ian has been active in venture capital investing and building companies since 1969 and brings deep financial and technology expertise to Plymouth Venture Partners. He has been involved with building over 350 companies and has served on the Board of more than twenty companies. Successful exits include 36 IPOs and numerous strategic sales such as Ventana Medical Systems, Promega, Lifescan, Birtcher, Stratacom, and Neogen. He formed the first institutional venture capital firms in Michigan and has led or co-led 13funds. He received a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney and an MBA from Harvard University and is an Australian Chartered Accountant.
