Bio

Mr Pieczynski is Co-CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of CapitalSource Inc. Prior to his appointment in January 2010, Mr Pieczynski served as the President of the Healthcare Real Estate Business of CapitalSource Inc. Pieczynski joined CapitalSource Inc. in 2001 to start its healthcare real estate lending practice and its sale leaseback business on healthcare facilities. Since joining CapitalSource Inc, Mr Pieczynski has overseen the growth of the healthcare real estate portfolio to $2 billion. Most recently he has helped CapitalSource Inc. evolve their healthcare real estate operation with a focus on first mortgage financing for long term care owners and operators to enhance the company's liquidity position by divesting of the firm's sale leaseback operations. Prior to joining CapitalSource Inc, from 1993 to 2001, Mr Pieczynski was at LTC Properties Inc, a healthcare REIT traded on the NYSE. He served as LTC's President, CFO and as a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining LTC Properties, Mr Pieczynski was the Director of Development for American Medical International Inc (now Tenet Healthcare Corporation) and was responsible for completing acquisitions and joint ventures.
