James M. Grippi is a Vice President focused on U.S. real estate opportunities. He is based in New York. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Grippi was a Vice President/Project Executive for Bovis Lend Lease. At the time he left Bovis, he was responsible for $700 million dollars worth of residential construction in Manhattan. In the 18 years Mr. Grippi was with Bovis, he was involved with both field operations and overall project management for over 8 million square feet of construction. Past projects include The Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, Metrotech Center in Brooklyn, Beth Israel Hospital, & U.S Federal Courthouses at Foley Square and White Plains N.Y. Mr. Grippi received a Bachelor of Science in architecture from New York Institute of Technology and has a diploma in construction management from New York University. He is also a licensed New York City Site Safety Manager.
