Bio
Joined LMP as President in July 1999. Prior to joining LMP, Jim was the President and CEO of Morgan Grenfell Capital Management (MGCM), the US subsidiary of the global asset management firm of Morgan Grenfell Asset Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bank. Under Jim's leadership, MGCM grew its assets under management from under USD 3 billion in 1987 to over USD 30 billion in 1999. This growth in assets was the result of expanding investment products and leveraging the firm's strong institutional presence to establish new distribution channels. Product expansions included a startup fixed income business which grew to over USD 17 billion in assets and the establishment of a family of mutual funds for sale through the registered investment advisory channel. The firm also built a presence in the high net worth and retail fund sub-advisory markets. Before joining Morgan Grenfell, Jim was Executive Vice President at SEI Investments responsible for consulting, marketing and product development. While at SEI, he held national and regional management roles. Prior to his employment at SEI, Jim was employed by an economic consulting firm and resided in Luxembourg. Member of the Boards of Directors of ALPS Holdings, Atlantic Asset Management, and Clarivest Asset Management. Undergraduate work at the United States Air Force Academy and the University of Denver where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
