James S Tybur

Bio

Mr. Tybur is a Principal of Performance Equity. Prior to joining Performance Equity in 2010, Mr. Tybur was a Principal at Trinity Ventures, an early stage technology focused venture capital fund based out of Silicon Valley. There, he was responsible for direct investments in early stage software and internet companies. At Trinity Mr. Tybur led successful realized investments in Bix.com (acquired by Yahoo!, YHOO) and CubeTree (acquired by SuccessFactors, SFSF). He also actively participated in over 50 new investments made by the firm during his five year tenure. Prior to joining Trinity, Mr. Tybur worked for three venture capital backed software and internet companies, VERITAS Software (acquired by Symantec, SYMC), PolyServe (acquired by HP, HPQ) and About.com (acquired by New York Times, NYT). Mr. Tybur started his business career at the Boston Consulting Group in Atlanta and Singapore. He received his undergraduate engineering degree with honors from the University of Virginia and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
