Mr. O'Donnell co-founded Bush O’Donnell & Co., Inc. in 1988 and has been involved in all aspects of its activities. Mr. O’Donnell is a Director and shareholder and serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer as well as a principal of Bush O’Donnell Smith Capital Services. Prior to joining Bush O’Donnell & Co., Inc., Mr. O’Donnell worked in the St. Louis office of Goldman, Sachs & Co.(1974-1987), a New York based investment banking firm. His duties at Goldman Sachs included the coverage of major institutional fixed-income accounts in the Midwest for the first five years and the coverage of large individual investors in the equity markets for the last eight years. In early 1988 Jim left Goldman Sachs to join William H.T. Bush at Bush O'Donnell & Co., Inc. Jim also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Olin Graduate School of Business at Washington University and teaches the investment PRAXIS course – an investment course that allows graduate students to manage a portion of the University’s endowment funds. Jim has served as a member of the Board of AmVestors Financial Corp., a $3.5 billion annuity insurance company sold to AmerUs Life Holdings Corp. (NYSE: AMH) in 1997; as a member of the Board of Safety National Casualty Insurance Corp., an excess workers comp reinsurer sold to Delphi Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: DFG) in 1996; and as Chairman of Microtek Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: MTMI) sold to Isolyser Company, Inc. in 1996. He currently serves on a variety of private company boards.
