Bio
Jeff works with Quantum’s technical team to provide geological and geophysical analysis on existing and prospective investments. He is also responsible for analyzing the technical and financial merits associated with emerging exploration and exploitation plays, as well as evaluating new technologies and their application to the energy industry. Jeff has a broad range of experience in geology, geophysics, basin analysis, drilling operations, completion and reservoir stimulation techniques, log analysis, formation evaluation and the use of 3D seismic and CAEX technology. He actively monitors the geological and geophysical activities of each of Quantum’s portfolio companies and regularly consults with them on various matters. Jeff has been with Quantum since its inception and has been an employee and partner in several of A.V. Jones, Jr.'s companies, including Jones Co., JHJ Exploration Ltd. and Van Operating, Ltd. He is active in several industry and professional associations and is currently Southwest Section President of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Jeff holds a B.S. in Geology from West Texas State University.
