Chairman of the CCC Private Equity Fund. Senior partner of Graphite Capital, a leading player in UK mid-market buyouts. Prior to that, was a founding director of Morgan Grenfell Development Capital for seven years. Between 1986 and 1990 was a director of Close Investment Management, the private equity business of Close Brothers, which he joined having worked at 3i from 1981 to 1986. 25 years experience of the private equity industry encompasses all aspect of private equity, including investment in startups, growth capital and buyouts, non-executive experience in both private and publicly quoted companies, investment committee roles, fund raising and investor relations. Now works part time with Graphite Capital focusing on portfolio management. MA in Classics from Oxford University and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD.
