Jerry Bardwell was appointed to the Board of Administration of the Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System by Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa. Mr. Bardwell has a long history with LACERS having served as General Manager from 1983 to 1991, as Assistant General Manager from 1982 to 1983, and as Chief Accountant from 1975 to 1979. He also served the City of Los Angeles in the Office of the Treasurer and as an Investment Officer at Fire and Police Pensions. He retired from the City in 1991. Mr. Bardwell also served as Co-Managing Director of Amervest Company, Inc. from 1991 to 1993. While employed with the City, Mr. Bardwell was the management representative on the Los Angeles City Deferred Compensation Plan Advisory Committee. He served as the Treasurer and a Director of the Retired Los Angeles City Employees, Inc. Mr. Bardwell holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California , Los Angeles.
