Jim brings more than 40 years of expertise in the computer software technology and services industry to NEP, along with 25 years of CEO or COO experience leading companies with sales of $100-$500 million. As an operating partner, he helps NEP evaluate and execute new investment opportunities and add-on acquisitions within the technology and business services industry sectors, as well as play an active role in strategic planning, business growth and corporate governance for NEP portfolio companies. In addition to his role as an operating partner, Jim currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Surgical Information Systems and Vice Chairman of Mitchell International, both NEP portfolio companies. Jim previously served as Mitchell’s Chairman and CEO from 1997 – 2007. During his tenure in those roles, Jim has led the company through an unprecedented era of accelerated growth in the rapidly changing property and casualty claims and collision repair industries. As Chairman, Jim applies his in-depth understanding of Mitchell’s operations and industry vision to assist the company‘s executive management team with acquisitions, partnering, corporate strategy, and customer relations. Throughout his career, Jim has distinguished himself in a variety of executive leadership roles, serving as President and CEO of Attachmate; President of the Networks Group at Memorex Telex Corporation; and as Chairman and CEO of ISC-Bunker Ramo Corporation.
