Jim joined 2nd Generation in early 2010 as an analyst. Formerly a Senior Financial Analyst at Fannie Mae in Washington DC, Jim was primarily responsible for financial modeling of the incurred losses on the company's balance sheet. He also developed processes for modeling of a variety of structured securities that began to experience losses as a result of the housing market decline. Additional responsibilities included modeling credit expenses, evaluating the impacts of government programs on Fannie Mae's forecasted losses, and documenting and communicating the rationale behind the calculation of the loan loss reserves. Prior to Fannie Mae, Jim worked at Eichner & Norris, PLLC, a small law firm that specialized as underwriter's counsel in tax-exempt municipal housing bond financings. At Eichner & Norris, Jim was responsible for performing cash flow analyses and documentation related to FHA/GNMA, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae securities. Jim is currently working on his MBA in finance from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management where he is scheduled to graduate in May of 2011 and holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
