Bio

John E. Buehler, Jr. is a Managing Partner of EIF and a member of its Executive and Investment Committees. Mr. Buehler joined the Firm as its Chief Business Development Officer and General Counsel shortly after its founding and, for the past 22 years, has been an integral member of the senior leadership team. As an investment securities lawyer, Mr. Buehler has over 32 years of transactional experience in financings involving the independent power and utility sectors. Together with the other two EIF Managing Partners, Terence L. Darby and Herbert Magid, Mr. Buehler is responsible for the overall investment, asset management, strategic planning, and operations of the Firm and the funds it manages. Previously, Mr. Buehler was an Associate Counsel in the Investment Law Division of John Hancock and practiced with the Boston law firm of Bingham Dana LLP (now known as Bingham McCutchen LLP). Mr. Buehler attended graduate law school at Georgetown University Law Center, received a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, and an A.B. from Boston College. Mr. Buehler sits on the Board of Trustees of Boston College.
