Julian Horn-Smith

Advisor to CVC since 2009. Sir Julian was previously Deputy Chief Executive of Vodafone Group plc until 2006 and Chairman of the Sage Group until 2007. Sir Julian joined Vodafone in 1984 as a Marketing Executive in the UK and has held a number of senior posts, including COO. In 1996, he was appointed to the Vodafone Group plc Board and in 2005 became Deputy Chief Executive. He serves on the boards of Lloyds TSB, Digicel and Altimo and is a Senior Advisor to UBS. Sir Julian holds a Doctor of Laws and an MSc in Business Administration from the University of Bath and a BSc in Economics from the University of London.
