Bio

Larry Warnock has over 25 years experience working with start-up and established technology companies, particularly in the enterprise software and SaaS markets. Mr. Warnock currently serves on the board of Cgate Health, a DFJ Mercury portfolio company. Prior to Cgate, Mr. Warnock served as President & CEO of Phurnace Software, a leading developer of software that accelerates the deployment and configuration of cloud-based web applications . Phurnace was acquired by BMC Software and was one of the more successful software exits of 2009. Prior to Phurnace, Mr. Warnock was the CMO of Vignette, a publicly traded enterprise content management software company. Prior to Vignette, Mr. Warnock served as a Venture Partner at AV Labs (Austin Ventures), where he assisted with the incubation of several early-stage software companies. Prior to AV Labs, Mr. Warnock was an executive at start-up OnLink Technologies (acq. by Siebel Systems), and a VP at Documentum (acq. by EMC) from its start-up phase through a successful IPO. Larry serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Austin Technology Council (ATC), a non-profit that focuses on the advancement of the technology community in Central Texas. He is also an advisor to several early-stage technology companies on their go to market strategies and fundraising activities. Mr. Warnock holds a B.B.A in Marketing from Texas A&M University. He is a frequent lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business, and the Acton MBA program of Hardin-Simmons University.
