Lewis Friedland

Bio

Lew has been active in the commercial real estate investment and development business for over twenty years. He is founder and Managing Partner of Cobalt Capital Partners and serves as President and CEO of Cobalt Industrial REIT. Prior to forming Cobalt, he was COO and CIO of American Industrial Properties, a public REIT focused on the flex property sector. Beginning in 1997, AIP acquired over $650 million of flex properties in major tech markets throughout the U.S. The REIT was successfully liquidated in 2001. Earlier in his career, Lew founded Crimson Partners, an opportunistic real estate investment firm and was a partner at Trammell Crow Company. Lew received a BS from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA degree from Harvard University.
