Bio
Mark joined Bain Capital Ventures in early 2010 and primarily focuses on growth investments in business services, information services, financial technology, and software. Mark has been a private equity investor for over ten years. Before joining Bain Capital Ventures, Mark was with Coghill Capital Management, where he focused on technology, software, and services. Previously, Mark was a Vice President at Great Hill Partners making growth stage investments in media, Internet, information services, and business and consumer services. At Great Hill, Mark’s portfolio included BuscaPé, Spark Networks, and AimNet Solutions. Earlier in his career, Mark was a consultant with McKinsey & Company and an analyst in the Private Equity Group at The Blackstone Group. He also worked as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley. Mark received an MBA, with Honors, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was captain of the ice hockey club team. He received a BA, with Distinction, in Economics from the University of North Carolina, where he was in the Honors program, elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and served as captain of the soccer club team. Mark also spent a semester studying at the London School of Economics.
