Rejoined Communications Equity Associates International (“CEAI”) in early 2008 and has been advising media and software-related companies on corporate finance. In addition, is involved in several funds focused in the media and software sectors. In 1990, started a corporate finance career in CEAI’s London office providing international M&A and corporate finance services in the communications and media industries in Europe. Involved in numerous transactions including advisor to Baskerville Communications, a specialty business publisher on its MBO and subsequent sale to Informa Group plc; advisor to a large pan-European radio group on the sale of a shareholding in the group; and as advisor to Électricité de France on the establishment of a joint venture cable television business with TCI (Liberty Media) and Lenfest Cable. In 1999, established The Radio Development Company, a startup vehicle for investment in radio and related businesses in the UK and Europe. In 2003, founded and continues to manage Atlantic Radio Ltd, a radio development company which is a follow on to The Radio Development Company. Since 2007, has provided consulting to small- to medium-sized companies in the media and software sectors in strategy, development of new business plans and implementation. Prior to joining CEAI, was an advisor to the Shadow Radio Authority on the startup and launch of national radio in the UK. Also worked at British Telecommunications plc and was responsible for managing their interests in a number of cable and satellite channels including MTV Europe. Prior to British Telecommunications, was a consultant for a specialist economic consultancy based in Washington DC focused on radio and television in the US Currently a director of a number of media related companies. MA degree in Communications from the University of Maryland and a BA degree in Communications and History from the State University of New York at Oswego.
