Matthew J Appelstein

Bio

Matthew Appelstein is Head of Global Distribution at Old Mutual Asset Management and serves on the Executive Management Team. In this capacity, Matthew has responsibility for distribution activities in sub-advisory, consultant, investment only defined contribution (IODC/DB), alternatives and non-US channels. He is also responsible for public relations and marketing. Matthew joined Old Mutual in 2003 as Head of Investment Services and Product Development, where he worked closely with member firms on the development and execution of product strategy. Previously, he served in a variety of roles at Fidelity Investments for 13 years and was employed as a manager at Coopers & Lybrand. Matthew holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, and earned his CPA designation in 1983 and CFA designation in 1999.
