Bio

Max is focused on investing in and helping entrepreneurs build an open internet, financial system (bitcoin/crypto), and energy grid. Based in San Francisco, he is excited about both deep tech and projects from across the world, especially in emerging markets. You can read more about his values here and investment theses here. Prior to joining Version One, Max was an entrepreneur in cryptocurrency and solar energy. Most recently, he founded Entiende Bitcoin, a consultancy focused on increasing access to bitcoin/stablecoins in Latin America for clients like Bitso and Give Crypto. Prior to EB, Max was part of the founding team at Bright, the leading residential solar company in Mexico backed by investors like Y Combinator and First Round Capital. He spent 5 years living and working in Mexico City and graduated from Yale with a degree in Political Science.
