Bio

Dr. Khouja works with the senior management of Wafra in communicating the strategic goals and in their implementation. He conducts global economic assessments and positions Wafra and its investment products to best capitalize on the current domestic and international environments. Dr. Khouja is also responsible for deploying the firm's investments and using such investments towards the development of new Wafra products. Dr. Khouja was previously senior advisor to the Kuwait Real Estate Investment Consortium from 1982-1987. He has also been economic advisor, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development from 1969-1982; Associate Professor, Oklahoma State University from 1966-1971; and member of the IMF-World Bank Task Force on Foreign Direct Investment in Developing Countries from 1978-1980 and member of the IMF-World Bank Task Force on Non-Concessional Flows to Emerging Countries from 1980-1981. Dr. Khouja holds a BS in Business Administration and a MS in Economics from Indiana University and a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
