Peter Calamari

Bio

Peter Calamari joined Platte River Ventures as a Managing Director in 2008. For much of the past decade, Mr. Calamari has been a private equity investor in consumer, industrial and service-based operating companies. Prior to joining Platte River Ventures, Mr. Calamari was a Principal at Vestar Capital Partners, a private equity investment fund with over $7 billion under management. At Vestar, Mr. Calamari pursued management buyout transactions across a broad spectrum of consumer, service and industrial sectors. His responsibilities included developing new business relationships, structuring transactions, leading diligence and capital markets financings as well as significant involvement in the operations of Vestar portfolio companies. Mr. Calamari is on the board of Directors of Duff & Phelps Corporation, Hetsco, ACT Independent Turbo Services, Global X-Ray & Testing, Car-Ber Testing Services, the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and the Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation. Previously, Mr. Calamari was an analyst with the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Merrill Lynch. MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics, from Yale University.
